In 1985, Ethel Beal and Pamela Beal established Your Friends & Neighbors, Inc. Initially, services were concentrated in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Several years later, Ethel's son, Ernie Beal, Jr., joined the organization. In the years which followed, Ernie and Pamela have lead the organization through many years of growth and expansion.

Pamela Beal, Ernie Beal and their corporate team have been involved in community-based services for persons with disabilities for more than 25 years.  During that time, our family has become a leading provider of services and supports to adults with developmental disabilities and has been recognized and accredited for our innovative approach towards services.

The organization was the first in Indiana to open a "Basic Developmental" Group Home in the late 1980's.  Also, Your Friends & Neighbors was recently chosen among only a select few providers of services in Indiana to open 4 "Extensive Support Need" homes throughout Indiana.  These homes are designed to integrate people with behavioral needs into the community through intensive programming.

Throughout the history of the organization, Your Friends & Neighbors has continued to provide quality services and supports to adults with developmental disabilities.
