This position provides clinical oversight and staff supervision for between 12 and 20 individuals living in residential settings (either ICF/MR or Waiver). Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Coordinating the Person Centered Plan for each individual and ensuring all training, implementation, and documentation are correct and timely. This includes Behavior Support Plans for individuals who do not have behavioral issues frequent or severe enough to warrant the involvement of the Behaviorist.
- Maintaining complete, accurate, thorough, and professional paperwork (e.g. Case Notes).
- Participating or presenting information regarding health care, medication, and possible rights infringements to appropriate committees such as the Clinical Review Committee and the Human Rights Committee for individuals on your caseload.
- Providing "hands-on" teaching, coaching ,training and development of all Direct Support staff working with the individuals on your caseload.
- Interviewing, hiring, and discipline of Direct Support Personnel mentioned above.
- Monitoring of all physical environments to ensure they are safe, clean, meet the needs of the individuals living there, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Spending at least 25% of work time in the residential settings during "non-business" hours: early morning, late evening, weekend days, etc.
- Assuming on-call responsibility for after hours emergency situations in rotation with other professionals.
Requires a BA/BS in Human Services field, at least one year's experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and at least one year's prior supervisory experience.
