Our Residential Services are divided into two areas.  We provide both group and independent living opportunities.

Our group living services are comprised of adult community group homes in small, intimate settings.  Supervision and/or specific training activities are delivered in these settings to help individuals acquire, maintain or improve daily living skills.  These community group homes generally serve 4 to 6 individuals.  Services are provided in the most natural, least restrictive manner possible to promote individual success and well-being.

Our staffing models vary according to the needs of the individuals who reside in each setting.  In many locations, including situations involving persons with profound disabilities or persons with behavioral challenges, we may employ two full-time, live-in residential managers working alternating seven day work cycles; weekday (Monday to Friday) residential trainers working mornings, and afternoon/evenings; weekend trainers; and supplemental relief staff.

All of our homes are normally located in safe, family-oriented and stable neighborhoods. We have an extensive maintenance crew who provide repairs, painting, remodeling and yard work as needed.  That work is monitored and directed by our computerized maintenance and work order tracking system.

Our independent living opportunities provide individuals with a system of comprehensive supports to enable them to live in settings that are less restrictive than congregate facilities and group homes. The service plan for each individual is developed based on three factors:

1) the individual needs of the person served;
2) his/her available resources;
3) the staff supports required in order to meet the individual’s needs.

In many cases at present, our Individual Support Services involve round-the-clock or live-in supports for individuals who have extensive behavioral, medical, or habilitation needs.  Some individuals may receive individual supports or supports in a two or three-person model, based upon their capabilities, skill levels and personal preferences.  Other people receive service in their home or the home of an unpaid care-giver on a less than full time basis.  Where individuals are served together, our organization strives to match individuals with similar needs, resources and support requirements.
